How are donations used?
Your monetary support helps support the production costs providing the funds for equipment rental, video and audio recording, printing and ongoing events throughout the upcoming year. Our annual budget is met from ticket sales, sponsorships, and a small amount from private donations. Our expenses include the facilities, equipment, and labor needed to put on these annual events.
Our team members are volunteers and donated almost 1,000 hours in 2013 to TEDxBroadStreet at no charge. Our volunteers are inspired to give back to our Newark community by creating inspiring, thought-provoking, unique events to share the most interesting people and ideas in Newark with the entire county. But, they can’t do it without the support of our sponsors and partners to help pay for the expenses of putting on professional-caliber events and producing TED-quality videos.
